Hey folks! Sorry about all the radio silence on my end. My life's gone crazy since the last updates. It's a story of betrayal, romance, heartbreak, and loyalty, but that's not the story you're here for. What you're hopefully here for is some new info on this silly internet video game. Well, sit down, because I've got lots of news for 'ya!

The Forest Stage!

For some reason, I still haven't named this level. Regardless, it's had a bit of a facelift! The sky's been replaced by a more painterly one I whipped up in paint.net, the parallax backgrounds are drawn in a blocky, angular style, and the "addition blend mode gradient over the screen" has been changed to give the level a more "misty" look. The overall aesthetic has been retooled into more of a "cloudy morning" than a "starry night" if you catch my drift.

The Arctic Fjord!

This level has had a facelift, too! Just like with the forest, the skybox, the parallax background, and the mood lighting has been changed up. I even added  Aurora Borealis to the background. What fun would a game set in the arctic without one be?

This level's all about skating around on the ice. Unlike other games, the ice doesn't impede your traction. Garret's got ice-walking down. However, once you start a dash on the ice, it doesn't stop unless you pull in the opposite direction. If you're good enough, it makes this level feel a bit like an auto-runner!

The Cavern!

Introducing the cavern stage! This level's all about wall-jumping. Think Megaman X. This level adds a lot of verticality as you climb up and jump all over the walls. Also, those spikes are very dangerous. They might look like delicious rock candy, but they're not. They're painful.

The Mountain!

There's not a whole lot of footing on these cliffs! You're gonna have to use your glide. Catch some updrafts and soar through the skies! This level's still pretty early on, though, so y'all are gonna have to wait for more details. 

T-Shirts?

Is it too early to sell merch for a game that still hasn't been finished yet? Probably. Definitely. Who do I think I am, Disney?

Lately I've been trying to sit down and get this dang game finished. Here's hoping the rest of the project goes smoothly! It's tough to take on a project like this by myself, but I'm already so far that I may as well finish it, amirite? Anyway, thanks for reading.
